Eastlake 8, Lake Washington 6

A must win game with an incredible finish�it just keeps getting better. Eastlake advances to its next Kingco Conference playoff challenge with a victory over Lake Washington today. Ian Farmer racked up 149 pitches and went the distance with 5 strikeouts and 4 walks to bring it to the Kangs. Ben Campbell was 3 for 4 at the plate with an RBI and scored 3 runs. Joel Newberry was 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs. Adam Hicks hit a double and had an unassisted 6 and 6-3 double play. Brett Upchurch made a great diving catch in right field. In the top of the 7th inning, with 2 outs and runners on 1st and 3rd, Ian threw a wild pitch; catcher Nick Whitworth retrieved the ball and passed it to Ian who made the final out by tagging the runner attempting to score from third. The quick-thinking play ended the game and Lake Washington�s season.

Eastlake takes on Redmond on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Inglemoor High School.
