Eastlake 3, Bothell 2

Its what Baseball is all aboutgreat field, great weather and a great game. The 16th game of the regular season was both decisive and exciting as Eastlake edged the Bothell Cougars by 1 run on the home field and on a perfect sunny afternoon. Ian Farmer again went the distance and did the job as he hurled 130 pitches taking 7 strikeouts with 6 hits and 5 walks. The Cougars scored early with a run in the first inning. Joel Newberry tied it up for Eastlake with an RBI in the bottom of the first. Adam Hicks broke the game open in the 4th inning with a double that scored 2 more runs. Bothell scored a run in the 6th inning but were kept at bay by strong Eastlake defense. Ryan Focht was 1 for 2 at the plate with a sacrifice fly and Kyle Walther was 1 for 3 at bat with a great double play at second base to snuff out the final inning for Bothell.

Wednesday the Wolves meet the Juanita Rebels on home field, and the weather forecast is great.
