Inglemoor 6, Eastlake 5

In a heartbreak of a game that defines baseball, Eastlake fell to the Inglemoor Knights in 10 innings. Brett Upchurch scored an RBI in the first inning to put Eastlake on the scoreboard. Inglemoor right fielder Blake Marshall hit a home run in the 4th inning. By the 7th inning, Eastlake was down 3-1 with 2 outs. Ryan Focht scored one run and the tying run was unearned on an Inglemoor fielding error. The game remained tied 3-3 until the 10th inning when bunts, walks and squeeze plays brought Mike Carrigan and Mike Adams home to put Eastlake ahead 5-3. But Inglemoor capitalized on walks, errors and base hits in the bottom of the 10th to score 3 runs and win the game.

Ian Farmer pitched 6 innings with 7 strikeouts. Tim Pickard closed the game with 3 strikeouts. Adam Hicks was 2 for 4 at bat with a double.

Eastlake will be on the road for its next 4 games, beginning with first place Bothell on Monday.
