Confidence can be a very good thing; and it was back in the dugout tonight as Eastlake dominated Bothell on their home field under the lights. Brandon Eggers had a very successful debut as a starter with 4 innings of smart pitching and 1 strikeout. Nick Whitworth was both the starting catcher and closing pitcher. Batting left-handed, Nick had 2 RBIs on a double and single. Brett Upchurch also had 2 RBIs. Joel Newberry had an RBI on a single in the 3rd inning, and Mike Carrigan also had an RBI in the same inning, along with Whitworth’s single. All three Eastlake runs in the 3rd inning were scored with 2 outs (so what?) on the team. Ben Campbell’s RBI in the 6th inning sealed the deal for Eastlake.
