Woodinville 7,
Eastlake 4
Eastlake played
well in their first "home" game but not quite well enough to win.
Eastlake held a 1-0 lead after 3 innings but Woodinville hit a
home run in the top of the 4th to tie it up. In the 5th,
Woodinville scored 4 runs to take the 5-1 lead. Eastlake came back
in the bottom of the 6th to make it 5-4 but couldn't get any
closer. Woodinville scored 2 insurance runs in the top of the 7th
for the final margin of victory.
Tim Pickard pitched
6+ innings for Eastlake. He had 7 strikeouts. Robert Gibson
finished off the 7th inning on the mound. Ben Campbell had 2 hits
to lead Eastlake. Ben Campbell, Danny Ballance, L.P. Angelo and
Ted Hickey hit doubles. Ben Campbell, Danny Ballance, Bryan Yates
and L.P. Angelo had RBI's for Eastlake.
Unfortunately, this
game counted as a home game even though it was played at
Woodinville and will have to play a second time at Woodinville
later in the season. Eastlake's next game is against Lake
Washington at Peter Kirk Park on Friday night.
