Tim Pickard shut
out Ballard for 6 innings on only 3 hits with 5 strikeouts. Adam
Nutley came on in the 7th to retire the side. Eastlake took the
2-0 lead on a 2 RBI single by Tim Ahern in the first inning. The
big inning for Eastlake was the 5th when 10 batters came to the
plate and Eastlake scored 6 runs. Tim Ahern ended up with 4 RBI's
and scored a run. Danny Ballance was 2-2 and scored twice. Anthony
Berhold, Bryan Yates and L. P. Angelo had RBI's for Eastlake. Tim
Ahern, Danny Ballance, Anthony Berhold, Bryan Yates, L.P. Angelo,
Ted Hickey, and Ben Campbell all had hits. Ben Campbell scored
twice and had 2 steals. Tim Ahern, Sean Teague, Anthony Berhold
and L.P. Angelo also scored. Eastlake's defense also played
another solid game including a great catch against the fence in
right field by L.P. Angelo.
