Eastlake 9, Lake Washington

Eastlake got a much
needed win at Peter Kirk Park against Lake Washington. Nick
Whitworth pitched a complete game with 11 strikeouts and allowed
only 4 hits. In the fifth, Nick struck out the side. The defense
played great and included 2 big double plays early in the game.
Tim Ahern also threw out a runner trying to steal second base.
Eastlake took the
early 2-0 lead in the third inning. Lake Washington tied it up 2-2
in the 4th inning. In the 6th, a combination of Eastlake's hitting
and Lake Washington's defense combined to allow Eastlake to take
the 9-2 lead. Lake Washington scored a meaningless run in the 6th
for the final score of the game.
Tim Ahern went 3-3
with 2 walks and 2 runs and a stolen base. Sean Teague 4-5 with a
double and 3 RBI's to lead the team in RBI's. Bryan Yates hit a
solo home run. Anthony Berhold, Ben Campbell and Ted Hickey also
had RBI's for Eastlake.
